Creative Commons Ghana (CCGH) is a group of professionals, activists and volunteers who have an interest in the creation and sharing of content under open licenses. CCGH focuses on education about open licenses and its role in information curation in the 21st century. We teach about Creative Commons Licenses and other open opportunities besides copyright. CCGH is organized by the “Chapter Lead” (Felix Nartey) together with a steering committee and a “ Representative” (Raphael Berchie) who represents CCGH to the GNC – Global Network Council .
Creative Commons is an international non-profit organisation that provides free licences and tools that copyright owners can use to allow others to share, reuse and remix their material, legally. Releasing material under a CC licence makes it clear to users what they can or cannot do with the material. The six standardised CC licences each allow material to be used in a different way.
